Arthur Leslie attended the University of Alabama undergraduate school from 1973 to 1977 and received a degree in Finance from the College of Commerce. He graduated from Cumberland School of Law in 1980, and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1981.

Arthur Leslie has experience in criminal law as well as extensive experience in family law. In 2000, he received an LLM in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of law. In addition he served as staff attorney to Justice Maddox, Retired, on the Alabama Supreme Court. He is married to Jeanne Marie Leslie, program director of the Alabama State Bar.
